Colin Schmitt Named Candidate to Watch in 2022 Election for NY-18

New Windsor, NY — New York State Assemblyman Colin J. Schmitt is pleased to announce that the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has officially named him a candidate to watch for in their Young Gun ‘On The Radar’ initiative. Young Guns is a recruitment program for the most competitive house races in the country, led by House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy and other members of Congress passionate about taking back the U.S. House and firing Speaker Pelosi permanently. Schmitt is part of the initial list of ‘On The Radar’ candidates highlighting NY-18 as a top race in the country.

Colin Schmitt is committed to public service. Colin is a Sergeant in the Army National Guard and Assemblyman for the 99th NYS Assembly District which includes parts of Orange and Rockland counties. Colin and his wife, Nikki, live in the Town of New Windsor with their rescue dog Quincy. On April 6, 2021, Colin announced his campaign for New York’s 18th Congressional District. As a lifelong Hudson Valley resident, Colin will stand up for local families and their values in the U.S. House of Representatives by fighting for lower taxes and more jobs and defending the region’s wonderful quality of life.
